This policy explains what we collect when you use MatchThePet, how we use it, and your rights. By using the app, you accept this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information: email address, display name, and sign-in method (Apple, Google, or email).
Profile information: your photos and your pet's photos, breed, age, temperament, energy, and intent tags.
Location: only a coarse location used to estimate approximate distance. Your exact address is not stored or shared.
Verification: identity selfie and pet vaccination document, used only for verification and kept in a private, access-restricted space.
Usage: match, like, and messaging activity, plus error logs.

We do not sell your information. We only work with the infrastructure providers needed to run the service.
These include Supabase for database and authentication, RevenueCat for subscription management, cloud image services for verification processing, and push services for notifications.
Only the information you choose to show appears to other users. Verification documents are never shared with other users.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. Deleting your account removes your profile, photos, matches, and messages.
Verification documents are kept for the minimum required time after verification, then removed.

Data is transmitted and stored encrypted. Verification documents stay in a private, access-restricted space.
Sensitive values are never written to application logs in the clear.

MatchThePet is for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data.
Use the in-app account deletion feature, or contact us to exercise these rights.
